WARRANTY
Pro Guard Coatings, the manufacturer, warrants Liquid Roof®
for a period of 5 years when the following conditions are met:

1 Mixing of catalyst was performed according to directions on label.
2 Liquid Roof® was applied to a sound roof surface according to application instructions
and resulted in a dry film thickness of approximately 20 mils.
3 Failure was not caused by accident, fire, hurricane, tornado, or deterioration of the original
construction materials.
4 Liquid Roof® was not applied over an asphalt coating or silicone caulk.
5 Customer can supply some form of proof of purchase to establish an approximate date of use.
6 Customer submits a sample of the failed membrane and a description of the roof construction
(i.e. metal, fiberglass, rubber, etc.) when making a warranty claim.

The membrane is deemed to have failed if it looses adhesion, cracks, erodes, or otherwise fails
to provide an effective weather barrier for the substrate to which it was applied. The substrate
must remain in a sound and stable condition.

This warranty is in place of any implied warranty of merchantability and all other warranties
expressed or implied.

This warranty is limited to the replacement of material only.

Pro Guard Coatings, the manufacturer, will, at the customer’s option, either replace the quantity of material originally used or supply a sufficient amount to complete the repair of the damage, freight prepaid, when the
above conditions are met and failure occurs any time within a 5 year period from the time of application.
Since the manner and condition of application are beyond our control, neither seller nor manufacturer shall be liable for any injury, loss or damage, direct or consequential arising out of the use or the inability to use this product. The buyer’s sole and exclusive remedy against the manufacturer shall be the replacement of the defective product, and no other remedy (including, but not limited to, incidental or consequential damages for lost profits, lost sales, injury to property, labor costs and expenses or any other incidental or consequential loss) shall be available to the buyer.

Choosing the right product for your application requires some knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of each type of product available on the market today.

Liquid roof coatings are aftermarket products designed to extend life, seal leaks, provide a heat reflective or aesthetic function over existing roof surfaces. There are many products on the market ranging from asphalt based products, rubber solution (Hypalon, Neoprene, Silicone), water based Acrylic and other emulsions, and chemically curing systems such as Urethanes and now LIQUID ROOF®

The most widely used liquid coatings by the RV industry are Acrylic elastomeric products. The weakness of these products, however, comes from the fact that they are water-based emulsions, which makes them vulnerable to sudden showers or freezing temperatures soon after application. They have inherently poor resistance to standing/ponding water. Another drawback for the Acrylic products is that they do not work over single ply EPDM membranes.

LIQUID ROOF® is a true EPDM rubber and therefore could be described as a liquid version of the single ply EPDM membrane that has established an outstanding performance record for over 30 years. The EPDM chemistry has two unique features not possessed by any other rubber: It is unaffected by ultra-violet and ozone, and can tolerate continuous exposure at temperatures over 300 degrees F. This feature is what gives EPDM rubbers the best aging properties (retains flexibility longer) of all the elastomers.

What is EPDM?

EPDM rubbers have a long history of reliability in automotive and industrial applications. The radiator hoses in cars and gaskets on freezer doors are made of EPDM rubber and illustrate its ability to perform in extremely hot or cold environments. Since the chemical composition of Liquid Roof® is identical to the heat vulcanized EPDM’s; the two forms have very similar performance characteristics.

What is Liquid Roof®?

Liquid Roof® is a unique form of EPDM rubber. As a liquid, it can conform to any shape of roof, flashing, or protrusion, vertical or horizontal, and can be applied easily with a paintbrush or roller. When mixed with the catalyst it cures by chemical reaction to form a self-adhering solid seamless rubber sheet.
